Saralinda Lichtblau is the Assistant Director, Education, at the Hudson River Museum; she has been on staff since 2003. In this role, she leads and manages the Education Department and focuses on creating and implementing programming for diverse audiences, both for school programs and for the public. She collaborates with Yonkers Public Schools and other districts throughout Westchester, and oversees the creation of Public Programs, including the Planetarium and Amphitheater, developing holistic, participatory programming initiatives that activate the museum’s collections and exhibitions, including experiences across the spectrum of the visual and performing arts. Saralinda oversees the Museum’s Docent program, providing training opportunities and lifelong learning for Docents who lead interactive tours for children and adults.
Prior to her work at the Museum, Saralinda was an educator for the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York. She directed and worked in various art galleries and as a private art dealer, and taught at Temple Beth El Nursery School in Closter, NJ. Saralinda is a certified teacher in New York and New Jersey, and has been Adjunct Professor at Seton Hall University. She received a Bachelor of Arts with High Honors – Art History from Swarthmore College, and Master of Science in Education from Bank Street College of Education, who recently honored her with a 2019 Bank
Street College Alumni Association Recognition Award for outstanding career accomplishments in the field of education.
