2023 CONSERVATION TREATMENT GRANT FINAL REPORT REQUIREMENTS
2023 Conservation Treatment Grant Awardees have a requirement to prepare a final report on the conservation paid for with your 2023 grant. Additionally, funded works must include a credit line acknowledging the grant on its text panels or other informational materials. Required credit line language can be found below.
Our final report submission process is paperless. The final report portal is accessible through this webpage (scroll down for button) and will be available beginning 5/1/2024.
The timeline for project completion and the final report for the 2023/24 grant year:
If you have any question regarding the timing of your project or the final report, please call Priscilla Brendler, Executive Director at 914-592-6726.
Your final report must consist of:
1. A narrative (maximum two pages) addressing the following:
* How the project was carried out, and by whom (please name the conservator(s) who actually provided treatment)
* If there was a change in conservator from your original proposal, please explain
* Whether the completion of the project was impeded, and if so, why
* A narrative accounting of how CTG2023 Grant funds were spent
* A narrative accounting of other sources of financial support needed/received/spent in the completion of this conservation treatment project
* A brief statement as to how the treated object(s) will be incorporated in the organization's program/exhibition/storage plans
* A brief statement on promotional activities regarding your funded project
2. Attach the conservator's completed treatment report
3. Attach an accounting of grant expenses, indicating total project expenses and income. You are required to use this budget form. Please download it, fill it in, save the file on your computer and upload it into the portal:

- Grant periods: December 2, 2023 - October 1, 2024 (10-month period)
- Final report is due July 15, 2024 if coming in with a 2024 application, otherwise Sept 30, 2024
- You must notify GHHN by July 15, 2024 if you do not anticipate spending all your awarded funds. GHHN must receive any unspent funds by July 31, 2024.

4. Attach before and after photographs of treated object(s)
Now Optional: If you would like, you may attach press releases, announcements, publications, exhibit or program materials referring to the grant or the conservation treatment of the funded object(s). If you post on Facebook, Instagram or LinkedIn about the conservation treatment, please make sure to tag Greater Hudson Heritage Network (@theghhn and #theghhn) and the New York State Council on the Arts in the posts so we may see and share the post.
PLEASE NOTE: though publicity, press releases, and social media posts are optional, crediting of the NYSCA/GHHN Conservation Treatment Grant Program on text panels at your site and when the work appears in print is required.

A grantee must not state or imply that it received these funds directly from NYSCA, but rather from a grant administered by the re-granting agency: Greater Hudson Heritage Network.
To submit your Final Report, you must use the username and password you created when you submitted your 2023 Conservation Treatment Grant Application. You will need to be logged in to complete and submit your Final Report. Once you have logged in, you will be able to access the Final Report questions.
