Jennifer Palmentiero is the Digital Services Librarian at Southeastern New York Library Resources Council (SENYLRC) where she manages the Hudson River Valley Heritage digitization service (HRVH: www.hrvh.org). Her primarily responsibility is supporting libraries and cultural heritage organizations in developing online collections and exhibitions. This support includes the development of best practices, training, and consultation to support member organizations at every stage of the digitization process. Jennifer also coordinates and convenes meetings of SENYLRC’s Digital Advisory Committee and the HRVH Users Group. She also participates in state-wide digitization initiatives through the NY3Rs, Inc, of which SENYLRC is a member. Jennifer has presented at the local, state and national levels on various aspects of digital collection building. She is a digital collection evangelist and welcomes any opportunity to encourage cultural heritage organizations to share their unique resources and knowledge online in an effort to meet the needs of 21st century learners. Jennifer received her Masters of Library Science in 2007 from St. John’s University with a concentration in the organization of information.
