Geoffrey Platt Jr., prior to establishing Geoffrey Platt Consulting in 2011, had over 40 years of  executive management experience in the cultural administration profession, 23 of which were in the museum field.  From 2006-2010 he served as Executive Director and Senior Advisor for Boscobel House & Gardens in Garrison NY. Before his post at Boscobel, for 14 years he was Executive Director of the Maymont Foundation, which operates Maymont, the 104 acre historic museum and park complex in Richmond, Virginia. He has also served as Director of Government Affairs for the American Association of Museums in Washington D.C. and earlier in the same city, as Executive Director of the National Assembly of State Arts Agencies. Geoffrey Platt holds A.B. and M.B.A. degrees from Harvard University.
