Franklin Vagnone is currently serving as Executive Director of the Historic House Trust of New York City. Prior to that position he was Executive Director of the Philadelphia Society for the Preservation of Landmarks. Mr. Vagnone also teaches design and has lectured nationally on Preservation, The Arts and Crafts Movement, Modernism, and Symbolism of the built environment. Franklin serves on the Boards of a number of not-for-profit entities including the Greater Hudson Heritage Network and on the Advisory Board for the national organization - Partners for Sacred Places. He has degrees in Architecture & Anthropology from UNCC, a Master of Architecture from Columbia University, Certification in Philanthropy & Fundraising from New York University as well as Nonprofit Business Management and Finance from Yale University. In addition to having a passion for architecture and preservation, Franklin also paints and sculpts. He currently resides in New York City with his partner and daughter.
