HUDSON VALLEY MUSEUM EDUCATORS ROUNDTABLE:

An informal but regular gathering of the region's museum educators- docents, museum interpreters, education programmers, classroom educators, tour guides, volunteers, board members and staff has taken shape since January 2002. Each month over 50 individuals from museums and historic sites/societies in Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Columbia, Ulster, Orange and Rockland Counties in New York, and Fairfield Co., CT. gather at a Hudson Valley host site to discuss and define issues of museum education and interpretation, and to network together. In cooperation with Greater Hudson Heritage Network, and initiated by Julia Warger, Historic Site Manager of Stony Point Battlefield, State Historic Site, roundtable meeting calls went out to all those who are responsible for or have an interest in cultural education activities.
