In Search of the Holy Grail: Digital & Analog Strategies for Providing Preservation & Access to Collections

This workshop includes a discussion of various methods of digitizing collections for maximum access and analog processes for providing long-term preservation.  Learn the best methods for creating preservation microfilm or archival reprints within a digitization project.  Case studies of both digital and analog projects will be examined. Organizing your historical records cam be a challenge. This workshop will guide you through organizing your archival collections using the archival process of arrangement. You'll learn the types of collections to arrange, the principles, objectives, levels of arrangement, and preservation methods followed by a Q&A.
